Institute for Condensed Matter Physics

On September 29, 2023, the Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (ICMP) will be hosting the International Workshop «Dynamics and Thermodynamics of Disordered and High-Pressure Matter (TB60)», dedicated to the 60th anniversary of D.Sc. Taras Bryk. The Workshop will be held in a hybrid format simultaneously at the conference hall of ICMP (1 Svientsitskii str., room 307) and remotely online. In March 2023, prominent scholar in the field of statistical and condensed matter physics, Doctor Honoris Causa and Supervisory Board member of the ICMP, Dr. Reinhard Folk (Linz, Austria) has been conferred the Golden Doctorate of the University of Vienna. On May 9-11, 2023 Ising Lectures, an annual workshop on critical phenomena and complex systems, will take place at the Jitsi Meet platform. Anyone interested is welcome.

Ising lectures 2022 – the 24th Workshop on complex systems, phase transitions and critical phenomena – have been organized by the Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Lviv on May 17 – May 19, 2022. The lectures were organized by a group of young scientists from ICMP – Oksana Dobush, Khrystyna Haydukivska, Mar’jana Krasnytska, Dmytro Shapoval and academician of NAS of Ukraine Yuriy Holovatch. This year the Workshop occurred online.
