We develop the approach which allows us to investigate the phase transitions
in the Bose-Fermi-Hubbard model beyond the mean-field approximation. We consider the
case of hard-core bosons and weak boson-fermion interaction. We calculate the
thermodynamical potential of the system taking into account loop-like corrections (in the
random phase approximation) to the mean-field expression for this potential.
