Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of NAS of Ukraine will hold a workshop on problems of high-performance computing and Ukrainian grid infrastructure development.

The workshop will take a place in the ICMP Conference hall (1 Svientsitskii Str.) on December 7, 2011, at 10:00 a.m.

The diploma Doctor honoris causa of the Institute for Condensed Matter Physics will be presented to Prof. Ivan Vakarchuk (Lviv, Ukraine) on Friday, 30.09.2011 during a solemn ceremony that will take place in the ICMP Conference hall (1 Svientsitskii Str.) at 2:00 p.m.

Prof. Vakarchuk will give a lecture: "On correspondence between classical physical quantities and quantum-mechanical operators".

Planer-Smoluchowski Soft Matter Workshop on Liquid Crystal Colloids "Emergent Phenomena and Functional Materials" will be held on the 5-th - 7-th of October, 2011, in the city of Lviv.
