The quantitative analysis of publications in the “Journal of Physical Studies” for the period of 1996–2016 is presented. The results of that analysis can be used to estimate the role of the journal as well as to form the editorial policy for the future. One of our tasks was to introduce to general public methods used for the quantitative analysis of journal's publications. Collaborative networks have been built, geography and dynamics of cooperation have been analyzed, and the respective characteristics of complex networks are calculated. We built and analyzed the collaborative networks in frames of an international collaboration as well as on the level of cities of Ukraine. Thematic analysis of publications was carried out by means of the PACS numbers.
