An analysis of human activity is an important task for modeling and organizing different processes involving humans. Their quantitative description is performed in terms of the interevent time and of the task execution waiting time probability distributions. In this paper we perform an empirical analysis of the data about editorial processing of papers in scientific journals. We discuss resulting distributions and show that they are compatible with the distributions governing other forms of human activity.
