Using the quantum chemical calculations the adsorption of H$_{2}$, H$_{2}$O and uranyl ions on the SiO$_{2}$ surface was investigated. It was shown that hydrolysis of water and decomposition of hydrogen molecule into atoms take place at the adsorption. The adsorption of the uranyl ions on the SiO$_{2 }$ surface was the object of study too. The charge distribution in complexes was found.
