71.10.Fd A model of the narrow-band material with the electron-hole asymmetry
The model for description of materials with narrow energy bands is proposed. The absence of the electron--hole symmetry in narrow--band materials is shown in contrast to the Hubbard model. The transition from an insulating to a metallic state is studied. The results obtained are compared with some experimental data for narrow-band materials. Some specific narrow--band effects are discussed.
