Seminar of "Interdisciplinary center for computer simulations"
LLM: Main Concepts, architecture and characteristics
Large Language Models (LLMs) are advanced artificial intelligence systems based on neural networks and deep learning methods. They are capable of understanding, generating and generalising natural language, having been trained on massive text datasets using the transformer architecture. LLMs find applications across a broad range of fields – from science (physics, chemistry, biology, computer modelling) to education, medicine, business, and the creative industries. They are employed for analysing large datasets, generating text and computer code, supporting decision-making processes, modelling complex systems and creating new ideas. Thus, LLMs substantially extend the capabilities of artificial intelligence in both research and everyday domains.
The event will be held in a hybrid format. However, in-person attendance is especially encouraged.
For those unable to attend in person, online participation will be available via Zoom:
