Born on 1 September 1925 in Rivne region. He is Doctor of Sciences and the real member of Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. He was the member of Ukr. Parliament during four consecutive terms. Igor Yukhnovskii is rewarded with the N. N. Krylov Prize of Acad. of Sci. of Ukrainian SSR, awarded by the Orders of the Badge of Honour (1975), of the Red Banner of Labour (1985), of the Patriotic War of 1st class (1985). He got personal award from the President of Ukraine (1995), the Orders of Merit of 1st class (2000), of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of 5th (2002) and of 4th classes (2009). According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine the title “Hero of Ukraine” was conferred on Igor Yukhnovskii in 2005 with investiture of the Order of the State. He is founder of the Institute for Condensed Matter Physics.

Born on 26 May 1960 in Ternopil region. He graduated from Physics Department of Ivan Franko Lviv State University in 1982 and got his Ph.D. degree in 1988 and his degree of Doctor of Sciences in 2000. Igor Mryglod became corresponding member of Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. for specialization “Soft matter physics, statistical physics” in May 2006. He is the Head of Department for Quantum Statistical Theory of Catalytic Processes since 2002, and is rewarded with the S. Pekar Prize of Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. (2003). Igor Mryglod is also awarded by the honorary diploma of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine (2004) and by the insignia "For scientific achievements" of the Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. (2008). He is the author of more than 300 scientific papers published in Ukranian and international journals. He holds the post of Director of the ICMP of Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. since May 2006.

Born on 16 June, 1957 in Lviv, Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences (1998), Professor (2005), full member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society (2006), corresponding member of the National Acad. Sci. of Ukraine (2015). Graduated from the Ivan Franko University of Lviv (1979). Ph.D. thesis: Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics (Kyiv, 1984), (supervisors: acad. І. Yukhnovskii and Prof. I. Vakarchuk). After postgraduate studies he worked at the Lviv department of the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics, from 1990 – at the Institute for Condensed Matter Physics, NAS of Ukraine. An invited professor at: Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Johannes Kepler Univerität Linz (Austria), Université Henri Poincaré (Nancy, France), Ukrainian Catholic University (Lviv). Scientific interests: complex systems, physics of macromolecules (topological properties of complex polymers), phase transitions and critical phenomena (field theory methods in condensed matter physics), complex networks, sociophysics, history of science.

Born on 29 October 1943 in the village Cherniyevi of Ivano-Frankivsk region. He graduated from Ivano-Frankivsk Pedagogical Institute (1965) and completed his postgraduate studies in Ivan Franko Lviv State University (1969). Myroslav Holovko worked in the Lviv department and later in Lviv Division of Statistical Physics of the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR in 1969-1990 (Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. since 1990). He got his Ph. D. degree in 1970, his Doctor of Sciences degree in 1981. Since 1985 Myroslav Holovko holds Professor degree and since 2003 is the corresponding member of Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. He is author and co-author of about 450 scientific papers.

Born on 23 September 1938 in Berezhany of Ternopil region. He graduated from Ivan Franko Lviv State University (1959). He holds the degrees of Doctor of Sciences (1986), of Professor (1987) and of the corresponding member of Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. (1995). Igor Stasyuk is the Head of Department for Quantum Statistics since 1986. He is author of about 500 papers in solid state theory and statistical theory of many-body systems. His major research interests cover systems with strong electronic correlations, phase transitions in complex crystals, ferroelectrics and molecular systems with hydrogen bonds, effects induced by external fields in crystals, ionic (protonic) conductors.
