Title: Crossing the Disciplines - a Starter Toolkit for Researchers who wish to explore Early Irish Literature
Author(s):
  M. McCarthy (Rathcroghan Visitor Centre)
  D. P. Curley (Rathcroghan Visitor Centre)

The inspiration for this short essay came from both authors' long-term collaboration with our friend and colleague, Professor Ralph Kenna. This connection emerged initially through his interest into our paper, ‘Exploring the Nature of the Fráoch Saga’, published in 2018, in which we considered the apparent connections between the mythological Ulster Cycle figure Fráoch mac Fidach Foltruad, and a number of prominent archaeological and topological features in Mag nAí or Machaire Connacht (the Plains of Connacht, mid-Roscommon, Ireland) (McCarthy & Curley 2018).
