Title: Editorial

Dear readers,

We would like to thank you for being with us, both as readers and contributors to Condensed Matter Physics. Our special thanks are given to the referees for their time-consuming and noble efforts towards thorough reviewing the submitted manuscripts, thus maintaining the current standards of the papers published. The journal latest impact factor (2018) is 0.852. Although this is a little bit lower than throughout the year 2017, it demonstrates a firm steadiness of staying over 0.85 during the recent couple of years. We are also glad that the geography of our contributors broadens and new contributors to our journal are always welcome.

For your convenience, we have introduced a flexible format of three types of publications: regular contribution, brief communication and a review paper. Publishing is performed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY) license as an Open Access media with no processing fees involved. Submission is done online via the Open Journal System, which enables one to simplify the communication routine and trace the stage of the publication. More details can be found online on our webpage http://www.icmp.lviv.ua/journal/.

Please note that from now on we abandon the compulsory classification of the research topic of manuscripts via PACS and these will not appear in the published text of the paper. However, PACS can still be specified by the authors when submitting the manuscript, if they wish so, but it will serve as an additional information only, to aid us with finding appropriate specialists for reviewing the manuscript.

In 2020, we plan to publish two regular and two special issues. The first special issue, focused on general problems of statistical and condensed matter physics, will be published in honour of Dr. I. Mryglod, whereas the second special issue, focused on the strongly correlated electron systems and quantum magnetism, will be published in honour of Dr. O. Derzhko and Dr. A. Shvaika.

We wish a successful and fruitful year 2020 to all of you.

Your CMP team.
