Dear readers, authors, and referees of the "Condensed Matter Physics".
We would like to inform you that we have switched to a new Web-site of the CMP and a new editorial system. Some useful information about Open Journal Systems 3 is available at https://docs.pkp.sfu.ca/#appojs3.
Unfortunately, no direct data transfer from the old system to the new one is technically possible. Therefore, we are kindly asking all of you to register at the new Web-site under the
link.
even though you have been already registered in the old system.
The authors and referees of the manuscripts submitted prior to July, 16, 2024 and unpublished yet should continue to use the old editorial system for processing of the said manuscripts only.
Sorry for eventual inconveniences and we look forward to meeting you on the pages of our journal.
The CMP Editorial Board

Dear readers, authors, and referees of the "Condensed Matter Physics".
As you probably know, a considerable part of the electricity generation capabilities of Ukraine has been destroyed or damaged by the targeted missile strikes carried out by the Russian Federation. The end users, including us, have stabilizing rolling power outages every day for several hours. This appears to be a long-term problem. We are doing our best to provide a continuous online access to the journal Web-site and archive, but the circumstances are often beyond our control. We are sorry for that. In the meantime, we would like to note that the papers already published in CMP are overlaid with arXiv.org and are always available online at

Dear colleagues, The year 2022 that passed was, without a doubt, the most difficult and dramatic one in the history of modern Ukraine. The country underwent attacks not only on the battlefields, but also on its civilian infrastructure, water and power supplies, resulting in the loss of many lives, inflicting huge migration and immigration waves, and imposing heavy mental pressure on all of its population. Is it possible, and is it sensible to do science in such a situation? Our confident answer is “yes”, and for a couple of reasons. Firstly, scientists contribute to the all-nation defense in their unique way, by helping in solving current problems in: physics and chemistry of new materials and cleaning technologies, aerodynamics and ballistics, as well as in the various applications of the IT technology. Secondly, if there is no science and art in the future, then the question “what people are fighting for?”, attributed to W. Churchill, becomes really topical. At stake is nothing less than a survival and a future rise of the country in a form of normally functioning institution, covering all the relevant aspects and attributes: from the infrastructure and economics all the way to the highly synthetic human activities. Our country has suffered an unjust and unprovoked aggression. Our army and our people are carrying an existential fight for Ukraine's very survival as an independent state, for our lives and freedom. Despite everything, we here, not at the frontline, are determined to do our job and continue publishing new issues of our journal on a regular basis, as long as it is possible. If you wish to support the Ukrainian scientific community, we are cordially inviting you to submit your manuscripts to our journal.
March, 2022 Changes in the editorial board The founder of Condensed Matter Physics and its Chief Editor for many years, Ihor Yukhnovskii, retires from his post and we are expressing our warmest gratitude for his efforts in establishing and developing our journal. Please also welcome Ihor Mryglod, the member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Dr.Sci., a prominent specialist in the theory of phase transitions, non-equilibrium liquids and dynamical properties of matter. We wish Ihor Mryglod fruitful work on a position of the Chief Editor of CMP.

March, 2021 New journal initiatives Starting from 2021, our journal is aiming to actively support the Open Science initiatives, such as I4OA https://i4oa.org/ and I4OC https://i4oc.org/. In particular, we are going to enrich the metadata of both new and previously published papers, to open up our references, and to keep following the other aspects of the Open Science initiatives. Another aspect of our presence in the global digital infrastructure is related to the Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID, https://orcid.org/). Since 2021, indicating the ORCID number became mandatory for the primary and/or corresponding authors of our journal and strongly advisable for the other authors. The support for the ORCID number indication is added to the updated journal LaTeX style cmpj3.sty and template. Some other modifications and improvements to them are introduced as well, in response to the authors requests since the last update, which took place in 2017.

We would like to thank all the authors, referees and editors for their great work! October, 2011 Dear Authors of the Condensed Matter Physics! According to the decision of our Editorial Board the Condensed Matter Physics journal is adopting a policy of completely open-access model of publishing. The integral part of this model is the synchronization of all papers published in our journal with the e-Print archive arXiv of an Open Archives Initiative (www.arxiv.org). All newly accepted manuscripts will be simultaneously submitted to arXiv server by the journal personnel. The already published papers will be also subject of gradual submission to arXiv server which will be done by our personnel too. Several issues of the Condensed Matter Physics are already uploaded at arXiv.org (here):
In relation to this we would like to inform you that the final versions of your articles published in the Condensed Matter Physics journal in 2010-2011 will be uploaded to arxiv.org. If you have already uploaded the preliminary versions of your articles to arXiv, please inform us the arXiv paper-id and password (NOT your account login and password) to enable us to submit the final versions of each paper in a format of our journal. You can use "Recover a paper password" form in the case of forgotten password here. Enter your article ID: cond-mat/0604621 or 1107.3655 and password will be send to your e-mail box. Send it to us and we shall update your preprint by the published version.
Thank you in advance, June, 2011
The 2010 ISI impact factor of Condensed Matter Physics is 0.800.
March, 2011 We are thankful to you all for our fruitful collaboration in 2010 and wish you new exciting scientific achievements in the year 2011. Starting with this issue, we initiate certain changes in editorial processing of the papers submitted to our journal. In particular, we distinguish four major scientific directions, namely, statistical physics, soft matter, solid state physics and computer modelling. Each direction is steered by a team of editors in charge. The editorial board has been enlarged to include the experts in various subfields of the above directions. Our membership in the CrossRef system, which started this year, is aimed at an increased presence of our journal in scientific informational space. Each paper will be assigned a unique classification number according to a generally accepted DOI scheme. This will make it possible to discover the original works on the Internet, to provide a linkage among them through their embedded reference citations, as well as to benefit from other online information management services. In future we are going to establish closer links with open access archives. As usual, we plan four issues for 2011. One of them will be a special issue on complex and associated fluids dedicated to the 60th birthday of Yu. Kalyuzhnyi. Your editorial team June, 2010 The 2009 ISI impact factor of Condensed Matter Physics is 0.475.
March, 2010 In order to provide more efficient, "as soon as accepted" online publishing scheme, we decided to change our usual page numbering template. Starting with volume 13 (2010) onwards, the papers and other publications will be numbered via a five-digit identification number instead of the ordinary page numbers. For instance: Author A. and Coauthor B., Condens. Matter Phys. 13 (2010) 32101. The volume number (i.e. 13 above) is preserved. The fields of the publication identification number (32101 above), denoted in general as ICCNN, are assigned in the following way:
The page numbers of each publication will span from ICCNN-1 to ICCNN-n (n is a number of pages): ICCNN:1-n. From now on we introduce a new type of publication: Rapid Communication. This section contains short papers (up to 6 pages long) reporting new and timely developments in the condensed matter theory. Average receive-to acceptance time of this material is two months. June, 2009 We are happy to inform about the small but important growth of our impact factor!! The 2008 ISI impact factor of Condensed Matter Physics is 0.488. We would like to thank all the authors, referees and editors for their great work! March, 2009 We have a great pleasure to report yet another fruitful and productive editorial year 2008. It was a very special year for us, as far as the ISI impact factor (0.47) was evaluated for our journal for the first time. We sincerely hope that we could report the higher value in the next year, thanks to the collaboration with all of you, our authors, referees and readers of our journal. For the year 2009 we plan two regular issues No. 1 and No. 2, which will cover a diversity of scientific topics in Condensed Matter Physics, as well as two special issues. The special issue No. 3 will be devoted exclusively to the new trends in spin systems. The issue No. 4 will contain the proceedings of the Scientific Conference "StatPhys-2009", which is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of M.M.Bogoljubov, one of the founders of Ukrainian Theoretical Physics school, and is due to take place in Lviv in June 2009. The editorial board would like to draw your attention that we finally abandon double numbering of the issues, from now the sequential issue number (that was found in the the previous issues within the parenthesis) will be omitted and the volume number and the issue number within the volume will be indicated only. We highly value your collaboration with our journal and sincerely welcome your scientific contributions to Condensed Matter Physics in the year 2009. The manuscript waiting time in our journal is currently six months or less and we work hard to reduce it further. We also encourage you very much to submit the extended review papers in hot topics of modern Condensed and Soft Matter Physics, these will be given a priority for the publication. Our journal is always open for announcing the relevant advertisements for the forthcoming scientific events and for the publication of the Conference Proceedings in matching scientific fields. Let us wish you a successful year 2009 and new exciting scientific achievements! April, 2005 We are glad to inform you that starting from August, 2005 the Condensed Matter Physics journal has been included in Thomson Scientific Master Journal List (Philadelphia, USA) and accepted for the following Thomson Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) products:
and thank you for your support and assistance.
